About

I am a self-taught emerging artist and have been painting in acrylics for ten years. I love high-quality paints with lots of pigment and opacity and my preferred substrates are canvas and wood. I allow myself the freedom to wander wherever my curiosity and joy take me and, as such, my art materials, subject matter and style may vary wildly; however, my bold, joyful color palette is a constant signature across my body of work.

I’ve lived in the beautiful state of Maine my entire life and in the city of South Portland for almost 20 years. I am happiest outdoors, where I find endless inspiration in the woods and by the ocean. Making art is therapeutic for me (and for everyone, always) and has helped me peel away the layers of “not me” and become more authentic, more brave and clearer about my purpose here on Earth. I find the marriage of text and imagery delightful and much of my work involves bringing those two elements together in original works as well as in the products I design.

When I’m not making art, I work with my husband, Michael, who is a self-employed carpenter. We are currently renovating our second home together in South Portland and it is a labor of love and a work of (he)art.
