Three Willard Beach Fishing Shacks - Fine Art Print 11x14

$65.00

Every painting has a story and THIS one is remarkable. On the morning of January 13, 2024, I awoke with a plan to make a painting of a seagull and after working on it for just a few minutes, I decided to put it aside and make a painting of the Willard Beach fishing shacks. I felt driven to sit down and get started immediately and I made the painting in one sitting of a few hours. When I finished, I decided to post the painting on my social media accounts with a note that I hoped the shacks weathered the storm safely. Unbeknownst to me, the shacks had been swept out to sea just a little while before I posted my photo. Watching the video of our beloved shacks falling into and being swallowed by the sea just broke my heart. It felt like such an honor to have painted them while they were crossing over and disappearing. They will be forever loved, and forever missed by us all.
